When is the SNP Spring Fling?

Sunday, May 1st, between 10am and 2pm.

 

Where is the Spring Fling?

The Spring Fling event will be held on the west side of Olympia, Washington, near The Evergreen State College. Please sign up for specific location and parking details at https://soundnativeplants.com/spring-fling/ 

 

What is the Spring Fling?

Sound Native Plants is closing its nursery gates this spring, so that we can focus all of our energy on restoration field workWe are hosting an in-person Spring Fling closeout sale and celebration on Sunday, May 1st between 10am and 2pm to clear out our remaining plant stock and supplies – everything must go! When is the last day to order plants online?

The last day to place an order online or via phone for regular curbside pickup is Sunday, April 17th.

 

When is the last day to pick up plants before the Spring Fling event?

The last day for regular curbside pickup is Friday, April 22nd, unless previously arranged.

 

How can I pay?

Please bring cash or check to purchase plants and nursery supplies. Cards can be accepted with a 4% surcharge.

Our musicians will gratefully accept cash tips. 

Perkins Family Farms will accept card or cash.

 

Do I need to bring boxes to carry plants?

Yes, please bring your own boxes, bags, wagons and wheelbarrows for shopping. In an effort to reduce waste, SNP will not provide boxes or bags.

 

Where do I park?

There will be street parking and additional parking within one block. There will be no parking available at the nursery, but an active loading area. Please sign up for specific location and parking details at https://soundnativeplants.com/spring-fling/ 

 

Is there secure bike parking?

Secure bike parking is available at the Kiwanis farm across the street from our event! See signs when you arrive.

 

What is the COVID-protocol?

Masking is recommended, respected, and appreciated while on SNP nursery grounds. This is an outdoor event. Expect small saleyards full of planty-people!

 

Will the plants listed as available in “May ‘22” on the Current Availability list be in the Spring Fling sale?

Yes, all plants labeled as ready in May ‘22 will be available during our Spring Fling event. If plants are ready sooner, their counts will be added to our Current Availability list for regular online ordering and curbside pickup. Check out our Spring Fling Plant Selections and Pricing!

 

Will SNP continue to do native plant installations, invasive plant removal, and landscape consultations?

Yes, we are excited to focus on the field restoration aspects of our business (native plant installations, invasive plant control, and landscape consultations) around Olympia, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Where else can I find awesome retail native plants around Olympia, WA?

We highly recommend our friends at The Plant Place Nursery, Ornamental Grasses of Puget Sound, and Eastside Urban Farm and Garden for year-round native plant supply. Also check out the following organizations for great seasonal sales: the Native Plant Salvage Foundation, the Washington Native Plant Society, and the Thurston Conservation District.

 

What about live stakes and cuttings material?

Can someone help me load my car during the Spring Fling event?

Customers will load their own plants into vehicles in our pickup loop, please bring hands necessary to do so. Our volunteers can assist if needed.

 

I have a pickup slated for after 5/1/22. Will I still be able to get my plants?

Yes, if you already have a pickup slated for after our Spring Fling event, your pickup date will be honored.

 

Are there bathrooms onsite?

There is one port-o-potty at the nursery.
